good byeeeeeee

Being sincere, i didn't like to come to English that much. I think it doesn't reach the results that it shod reach, in terms of the improvement of each student about the manage of the language. Also, the fact that it is obligatory, makes the students, and myself, think that it is tedious and boring. In many times I was in the class of English thinking about what I could be doing in that moment. I am really happy to be finishing it. I think that the class of English could be more interesting if the teacher teach us how to use the language in benefit to our profession or career. Because thats the way we are going to use English in our future. An I think thats why nowadays almost every career in all the universities have English in their academic courses, to use it in their future, to be part of these globalist world. I have always think that this university isn't ready to give a course of English, I am not talking about the teachers, I have nothing to say about them, they are good people, but these was all bad organized. We started the course like two month after we started the semester, I was already in another CFG, and I had to leave it because I wa taking these course too, but they give us the days of English too late, so I had to reorganize my timetable. The use of the blog was a good thing after all. I think that I practice a little bit about my writing, but I sometimes felt very uncomfortable talking always about my self, I am not used to it. I need to improve my speaking of English, because I don't know hoy to communicate very well, I have it all in my mind but when it has to come out it cant. Also I have to improve my writing, there are a lot of words that I don't know how to say in English, or I write them but I write them wrong, I have the same two problems in Spanish by the way. I think the best way to learn a language is to be living in a city where nobody talks your language, so yo have no alternative. I really don't use much my English, one day a north American man come up to me and ask me for some directions, an I think I helped him.

Money

I think money its no so important for me in this moment, but it is just because I still live under the roof of my parents. I am not a big spender, I just buy the necessary, what its not so much because I don't have to buy my own food or to pay the rent. Mostly I spend my money in materials and tools to work with. This is not a cheep career so each time I can I try to reuse materials I found in the street, from the garbage. Also when I propose myself to save money its not a big deal for me. I keep it all in a box and never open it again. If I were a millionaire I, in the first place, would help my mom with all the expenses of the house and the studies for my brothers and me. And then I would go traveling around the world, to know all the places that I would never have the possibility to go like Mexico, the jungle of Sudamerica,China and el Tibet, depending of course how millionaire would ill be. Also I would like to keep studding other things besides art, like botany and ornithology, and besides all that ill save money for the future. If I have to pawn any of my belongings I think the only object that I own that could give me some money its my computer I really don't have too much valuable things.

I think that I learned about sustainability in my house, with my mom, but I am not sure. Anyway the green trend have been appearing in the means of communication in these decades, so its impossible not to hear about it. In fact the biggest industries are taking advantage of these trend and are incorporating the terms of recycle to convert their image, but in the essence they are still the same.Like the green spot in Jumbo, where you can leave your plastic bags, your bottles or your tetrapak. It is really very small and its impossible that it can contain all the waste that the supermarket leaves. The same happens with the reusable bags, and the ones that are "biodegradable". There is something beyond only recycling, it is about changing the way we are living. In my house we collect all the organic waste in a can, and once a week I leave it to a box in our neighborhood where we have worms so they can made humus. Since we do that the waste of my house has been reduced to a half of what it was before. Also I try to reuse the maximum of the stuff we use to trow up, but the most important thing is to reduce the quantity of stuff we buy that we don't need. Also I harvest some vegetables from an orchard we have here in the park of the university, so there we are reducing the carbon footprint of all the contamination that the agriculture are generating there days, its is a very small contribution but it have change my vision of what I am eating every day. I have a bike and i use it around my neighborhood or when I have to go to the center of the city, but I don't use it every day because my house is very far of where I study, and I don't have the resistance so I use the transantiago. But i Think Santiago needs more cycling culture, to respect the cyclist and motivate people to use their bikes, for example with more cycle paths, not just for riding, but for a serious mobilization in all the city.

Ai Weiwei sunflower seeds

The Guardian, Monday 5 March 2012 Ai Weiwei is a Chinese artist that has become very famous because of his troubles with his native country, aiming to his work.He was in house arrest for tax evation, but the real reason for it is that he often talks about human rigts and he critizice the totalitarism of China. One of his most interesting works, in my view, was an instalation of 100.000.000 hand-made seeds of sunflowers in the Tate Museum. One of each seed was made out of porcelain by Chinese craft workers, painted one by one just equially as the real ones, in a town where ceramics represents their tradition, generation by generation the families had been working on the creations of ceramics. As well the sunflower seeds are very important in China, they use it as a base of their feeding, and was the diary diet in times of war. His work represents the overpopulation and workforce of the people of China. Reciently, the Tate Museum baught 8.000.000 (10 tons) of these seeds , at £3.50 each seed, just the 10th of the total. In the begginig the instalation creates a sea of seeds, where the spectators can lie, thow them up, and dive their feet in, but the quiantity that the Tate buys was not enaugh to do that, so they decided to pile up them in a cone shape.

first semester

In the first semester I took a course of forge here in the university. I learned how to use the forge, heating metal and then hiting  it when it was hot enough. I also learned how to weld the metal, it was very exiting. We had to wear special clothing like thick shoes and leather globes, also we had to use special lens when we use some of the tools because they can be very dangerous if you dont take the nessesary measure.
I were working in the orchard of the garden here in the faculty. I learned very much about  plants, botany and biodiversity. We planted lechuse, radish, chard, peas and a lot of things more. Also we planted some bulb flowers in winter, they are now blooming , it looks beautifull. I enjoy very much to see the seeds sprout and grow up, and they tasted very good.
I learned to create candles from an objects, taking a mold from it. I made candles about the virgin Maria, which was very difficoult but i like it a loot.
I learned a lot of things that i am steel interested in, in fact i keep working in those  subjects because i enjoy them very much.

Tito and Pepi

My favorite animal is the cats, as the same as the teacher. I have two cats, one in male and his name is Tito, and the other one is Female and her name is Pepa. Tito was given to me when i was 18 years old, so he is 4 years old, and i found Pepa in Valparaiso two years ago, she was a baby and i adopted her. Tito is big and hairy,  he is gray, black and white and he is sleepyhead, he sleeps all day long! and likes to rest in the lower part of my bed. Pepi is smaller than Tito and she has short hear, she is very soft and her nose is pink. She is my best partner, likes to  join me everywhere, and she is very attentive of what i am doing. Mostly when i am drawing she likes to sit just in the notebook and don't let me keep drawing. She is addicted to drink water from the sink too.
When i got home both of them run to salute me, they meows and rub their body against my legs. I love them very much but my mother grumble about their hears everywhere, so i have to brachium the carpet every weekend, they really throw a loot of hear!
Tito is very disrespectful when i am eating something, he pounces to my food and tries to stole a piece, i think he is used to get a little bit always, his favorite thing are the yogurt and the raisins. He is a glutton!
I love my cats because they are a lovely company, and a natural hottie!

A photography that i like

In these photography you can see Snow White, a tipical proncess of Disney, time  after she was  married to  the prince, so she is now a wife. She is carring two babys and there are another two babys more in the scene. The prince is sitting in his chair watching tv, eating some chips and drinking beer wile snow white is taking care of the kids.
The image that disney creates of princess in little girls are very strong, isually these womans are very pasive, very beautifull and thin, and they are a tippical prototype of a lady. For example, the Sleeping Beauty is a lady who fall asleepp untill the prince come and save her. That message is being send to the girls that wached this movies, it tells her that she dont have to do nothing, just be passive and wait for the man to come and save her from her destiny.
The photographer Dina Goldstein creates a scene where this myths are broken, and the dream of " and they live happy ever after" too. I think it is a little bit exaggerated for these times because now women and men share the responsabilities of a house, but in any case it contradicts the message from disney that my generation recived from these kind of movies.

My Opinion

What is your opinion about legalizing marihuana?
I think that marihuana isnt a bad thing at all, it is overvalued. This plant doesent causes much damage as alcohol or cigarrete, and with the legalization the troubles with drug traffic will end, the prices will rise so the consumers will reduce their consume. If marihuana were legal the consume of false and damaging marihuana, like "paragua" will stop.
What is your opinion about cimate changing?
My opinion about climate changing is that i think that human isnt doing things the way we shoud do it, we have to learn about our mistakes and be responsable for our acts. We have to wake up now or it be too late, if we dont do something rigth now tomorrow we will regteat.
What is your opinion about recycling?
In my house we try to recicle as much as posible, i think that it isnt about just "saving our planet" but caring about our poket. If you have one thing that isnt useless you can create something new and make it usefull. For example organic waste, we can recycle it with worms that eat it and becomes it in nutricional extract for our plants and orchard.
What is your opinion about legalizing abortion in some cases?
I think the theme of abortion shoud not be discussed in the senate or in tribunals, it shoud be decision of each woman.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is my robotic dog. I created him in Forja tree weks ago. His name is Monito and he gives me no problem at all, he eats garbage and recycle it in his stomach and becomes it in sustentable energy. He likes to ride with me in my bicicle so i never have to tread down, he takes me wherever i want! Last weekend we ride to the top of San Cristobal's hill, it was awsome!
Monito likes to interact with other pieces of tecnology, like my cellphone or my computer, i think he has a secret crush with the blender...

The only problem with Monito is that he have no felings, so he cant fell love or sadness, wich i think is very sad. I am trying to figure out how to create a heart to give him for his birthday.
bye!

latin woman singers

Today I will talk about the music that i have been hearing lately, latin old music, mostly women  singers. I like these kind of music because i think these singers can interpret all the sufering and pain of the american women in the history.
I like very much Lucha Reyes, from peru. My favorite songs that she interpret are " Jose Antonio", " Tu voz" and " yo tengo una pena". She is very romantic and she have a beautifull voice.
Violeta Parra is one of my favorites too, i love her music and the way she plays the guitar. She is an inspiration for me, i think she is a powerfull woman. My favorite song of Violeta Parra is " Maldigo del alto cielo", because it is very intense.
And the last but not less important is Chavela Vargas, in particulary the song
"Llorona" that talks about a woman and her love pains.
thats all! good bye
